It’s no surprise that when all of music’s biggest names get together, we get a glimpse of the top hairstyles in Hollywood. From top knots to sleek middle parts, The 2015 AMA’s didn’t disappoint from behind the chair. We know you don’t have an on-call glam squad like Kendall & Kylie, but many of these looks are much more simple than they appear. Let us explain:
Kendall’s Top Knot
Re-create Kendall’s top knot by simply securing your hair in a high pony-tail. Lift up the pony and with a comb or brush, gently tease the hair in a downward motion. Wrap the teased hair around the base of the pony, and secure it with bobby pins. Hairspray for a little extra hold.
Kylie’s Low-Pony
With a comb, part your hair down the middle and secure it back with a hair-tie. For a tousled look, leave a few pieces on the side out & lightly curl the pony. For a sleek look, hairspray and comb the hair into a secure pony, and straighten the ponytail. Hairspray to keep those flyaways down.
Kelsea Ballerini’s Half-Up Wave
With a 2’’ curling iron, curl large sections of your hair and spray with a light hold spray. Taking sections from your ear, pull back and secure in a hair tie. With a wide tooth comb, gently comb out the curls and hairspray. Your waves will loosen throughout the day or night and look even more effortlessly beautiful.
Ashley Benson’s Loose Curls
Achieve these loose curls by using a 1.5’’ or 2’’ curling wand. After the curls have cooled, Gently comb out with a wide tooth comb. The key? Taking a combination of larger and smaller sections will give you that undone but elegant curl pattern.
Gigi Hadid’s Slicked Back Bob
Whether you have long locks or a shorter style, Gigi’s slicked back look is simply achieved with a medium hold gel and a hairspray. Brush back hair with a boar bristle brush, and a generous amount of medium hold gel. With a wide tooth comb, comb back hair again to create the signature chic-messy texture this look needs.
Selena Gomez’s Pin Straight Look
With just a flat iron, smooth out your hair using a comb to insure you get every strand as straight as can be. Comb your hair into a middle part and you’re ready to go. A light hold hairspray will keep the flyaways at bay.
